The Edicurial Permanent Collection is a selection of 100 works collected from 2021 to 2022 that are meant to be a timed, curated and personal snapshot of the state of crypto art. The permanent collection embodies our mission to document the development and diversity of this new art movement and offers ways to explore the art genres and artist profiles to a larger audience of contemporary art enthusiasts. As a female collector, Elsie is strongly committed to support female, non-binary and collaborative digital artists, who make up a large part of her collection.
From bold photography and digital paintings to thought-provoking 3D sculptures and conceptual works, each piece in the collection represents a unique vision and perspective. We chose these works to highlight the diversity of genres in NFT art and are committed to keeping these works in the collection for as long as possible. The collection showcases historical digital artists such as PAK, Osinachi, and Hackatao along traditional artists who ventured into NFTs, such as Frank Stella, Cassils or Kevin Abosch and crypto-native artists, such as Sparrow, Sofia Crespo or Martin Lukas Ostachowski, among many more talents to discover.
“As a patron, I see my role as a champion, a conservator, and a translator who promotes the power of digital art produced in recent years. This is why we made the decision to keep these 100 works in our collection for as long as possible and we invite you to explore our Permanent Collection and discover the works that speak to you. We believe that the Edicurial Permanent Collection has something for everyone. Join us on this journey to celebrate the transformative power of art.” says Elsie, Founder of the Edicurial Collection.
An innovative taxonomy has been implemented to allow the visitors to navigate the works via custom filters that they are familiar with and that are widely used in the traditional art world, such as “genre”, “edition size”, “artist details” and many more tags, allowing anybody who is not familiar to the NFT or crypto jargon to slice and dice the collection, based on their own collecting interest and/or curiosity.
“LAL ART has been working with Elsie since 2021 to assemble and manage one of the greatest collections of crypto art. As art advisors we believe that collecting does not stop at the “buy now” button and transfer of money. Elsie has been connecting with the crypto artists she collects and documenting their work via her website and highlighting artist profiles via her social media for the past 3 years. The permanent collection continues her mission to support the space and give crypto artists the recognition they deserve within a broader context.” adds Fanny Lakoubay, Founder of LAL ART Advisory.
To celebrate the launch of the Permanent Collection, Edicurial is hosting a virtual exhibition of its works online. This exhibition is accessible at edicurial.com/permanent-collection, where visitors can browse the collection and learn more about each artist and their work.
